Built on the site where Alexander II was assassinated in 1881, the Cathedral of Saint-Sauveur-sur-le-Sang-Versé, in a Neo-Russian style and very inspired by Saint Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow, is today one of the most picturesque and most visited buildings in Saint Petersburg.
